Sojourn is a reflective one-handed piano solo originally written during the NaNoWriMo challenge—a month-long creative sprint where participants aim to complete a work in 30 days. Inspired by the idea of daily creation, this piece emerged as a musical reflection on persistence and introspection.

Written for one hand, Sojourn explores expressive phrasing, rich harmonies, and lyrical motion within a limited physical range. It encourages students to focus on voicing, tone color, and musical storytelling while developing control and independence in one hand.
