Nimbus was originally commissioned by Nicola Cantan from Vibrant Music Teaching as part of her Concept Collection series, for the issue called The Other Pedals. This piece features hands playing only fingers one and five while moving up or down a step in parallel motion. It showcases rich harmonies and beautiful sonorities while remaining simple enough for a beginner student to learn by rote.
