A real Melodies Monthly story
When a special request becomes the perfect piece.
Piano teacher Megan Desmarais of Very Piano had a middle-school student who needed music that was approachable without sounding childish. Through Melodies Monthly, Megan requested a mature, pattern-based piece inspired by Chopin's Raindrop Prelude.
That request helped inspire Prelude to a Storm. Megan's student returned the following week having learned the entire piece, later performed it at her spring recital, and Megan described the experience as helping her student finally turn a corner in piano.

What does studio-licensed mean?
Your PDFs are licensed for use throughout your teaching studio. You may print
copies for yourself, your students, and teachers working within your studio.
How does member voting work?
Members vote each month on the kinds of music they'd like to see next,
including instrumentation, style, difficulty level and other musical details.
There's also space for special requests.
What's the difference between Standard and All-Access?
Standard membership gives you access to the current month's releases plus the
previous two months. All-Access includes the same membership benefits plus
instant access to the complete Melodies Monthly back catalog, currently
